A Few Things That I Have Learned These Past Six Weeks

In my New Works class I have learned about how important the arts are to our society.  However, the most important thing that I've learned is how art can happen anywhere. This I learned while learning about Paul Baker's "theory's of art", Paul was one of the founders of Booker T. Washington among many other places of art like Dallas Theater Center.
Paul Baker's theory includes space and color. Some of the different "spaces" that are used to create/perform art (whether it be dance, music, visual art, or theater) can be  a wall, a stage, an open/closed space, dark/light space, etc. The other element that can change art is color. This element works by changing or setting the mood of the art. For example, if you are painting a sad picture you would use darker colors vs. if you were painting an uplifting picture.
